Happy Father's Day

Hello my crafty friends,

It's been a very busy 3 day memorial day weekend and I'm finally getting in my project for the challenge over at Artistic Inspirations. The image is from Sami Stamps. I used Spectrum Noir markers to color the image and Stickles diamonds on the butterflies. The sentiments and the butterfly frame ID#59257 were done with the Silhouette Cameo.

Inspirational Bear

Hello my crafty friends,
I'm running a bit behind in creating my cards.  I'm getting ready for our annual Memorial Day BBQ. Lots of planning and cleaning etc.  This card is CAS. The image is from Stitchy bear stamps and is for the challenge over at Pinspirational Challenges  I used Stampin Up oval die and Staz On brown ink for the sentiment.  The sentiment stamp was from my stash from Scrappy Cat Inspiration set.  I used Spectrum Noir markers to color the image and Stickles Diamonds for bling in the flowers and butterfly. The image is on pop dots to give it depth.  I should be back on track with more creative cards after June 1st. Thanks for following me and leaving your wonderful comments.  Have a happy crafty day.

Another Fathers Day card for the Golfer.

Hello my crafty friends,
My hubby is a weekend golfer, but if he could he would golf everyday.  I created this card for the challenge over at Artistic Iinspiration  The challenge is to NOT USE designer or pattern paper.  Be sure to stop by and see what the design team has for your inspiration and join us in the challenge .  The image for my card is from Dr. Digi. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the image and I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers. I mounted it on pop dots and added enamel dots (the white golf ball and green dots)  that I created from melting down pony beads. I used Cricut Embossing folder swiss dots for texture on the card base. I used memento summer sky, and green leaf ink to add a hint of background for the golfer and Tim Holtz tea die distress ink around the edge of the sentiment label. The labels and sentiment were also done with the Silhouette Cameo.  Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your comments. Have a happy crafty day.

Mother's Day Card

Hello my crafty friends,

Here is another box card. I made this one for my mother-in-law.  I'm lucky to have a woman who loves me as if I was her own.  With this being the first year without my own mother, I'm glad I can send her this special card. The image is from Digistamps4joy for the challenge over at {Pin}spirational Challenges. Stop over and see what my DT sisters have for your inspiration today,  My MIL has black hair and I have blonde, therefore those are the colors I used on the image. I used the Silhouette cameo to cut the box card and the sentiment.  The box papers, roses and sentiment were also printed with the Silhouette. You can google and find many scrapbook sites that offer clipart, kits and paper designs for free. The sentiment is from Silhouette Store Design ID #59404 and the box card ID#56149 It's for a new baby but I used the box design and added my own embellishments. I fuzzy cut a couple of rose bushes to add to the outside of the card and I used stickles diamonds to add some bling to the sentiment. Thanks for stopping by today.  Follow me along this creative journey as I have new projects coming soon.

Father's Day card

Hello my crafty friends,
Easter is over and Mother's day is around the corner.  When I was a kid my dad would take us to the park to feed bread to the ducks.  He once gave me a mallard duck planter which I still have and everytime I see a Mallard duck I think of him.  After losing my mom last September, she was 2 weeks shy of her 86th birthday,  it makes me think how much longer my dad will be with us he is also 86 years old and is in worse health than my mom was.  Anyway, I am sending him this card for Father's day.  The image is from Eureka Stamps and it is for the challenge over at Craftitude Challenges It is a 1,2,3 challenge.  Use 1 image, 2 pattern papers, and 3 embellishments.  I used 4 because because it didn't look right with just 3 dots.  I made the dots from pony beads. A post will be coming soon on how I  made these, so be sure to become a follower of my blog so you don't miss it.  The mallard ducks from up north where I come from have dark blue and green feathers and bright yellow beaks.  I used my Spectrum Noir markers TB2,4,6,JG2,3,CT4,LG5, GB11. with Stickles Diamonds on the cattails.  Thanks for stopping by today and have a happy crafty day.
