Kitty's Christmas Tree

Hello my crafty friends.
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and found great bargains today on this Black Friday shopping day.   My card today is for the challenge over at  Craftitude Challenges The sponsors today are Digi Darla Designs and  Eureka Stamps. To help give you some more creative inspiration and a chance to win some fabulous images from our sponsors, head on over to Craftitude Challenges and see what our talented design team has come up with. The digital image is the kitten pawing at the ornaments. The challenge was to use buttons, therefore I used buttons for the ornaments. Did I use my Spectrum Noir markers? Of course I did, lol only on the kitty, IB1,DG3. For some sparkle I used Stickles diamond glitter for the trim on the hat.  I used my Martha Stewart pine punch that I purchased at Joann's Fabric to decorate the tree and fireplace. I cut the tree base with the Silhouette Cameo. I mounted the tree and kitty on pop dots. And used a scrapbook program called Scrapbook Max 2. It is a user friendly program and you can use clipart that you purchase or find for free online as well as the kits they have for sale and a forum for members who share their work.  In saying that, I was able to add the fireplace, stockings, candle, present and sentiment to build a scene around the kitty.  The buttons, crystals and angel were from my stash. I also used Stampin Up clear crystals that I colored with Spectrum Noir DR6 on the fireplace. My base card is burgundy and I used Recollection Seasonal paper collection for the mat background.  Thanks for leaving your kind comments. I look forward to reading them everyday. Now I'm off to have some left over turkey. Happy Holidays.

Holiday Couple

Hello my crafty friends,
The holidays are fast approaching.  I used my Martha Stewart pine punch and layered the leaves around the image to create a frame.  I used the Darice snowflake embossing folder and the red heart, star, and candy cane buttons I had in my stash. For some sparkle I used Stickles diamond on her dress and buttons. The spectrum noir markers I used are for dress DR6,PP6,PP2, Skin FS2,3 for the man TN2,CR3,LG5 and black on knicker trim.  I used  Scrapbook Max 2  scrapbook program to add the sentiment. The image is from Eureka Stamps and they are the sponsor for this weeks Craftitude Challenges. Wreath Christmas Card

Hello my crafty friends
I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe travels this Thanksgiving.  I'm thankful that I am on two design teams.  It's the only way I've been able to get my Holiday cards done early. LOL.  So without further ado here is another Holiday card for you. The image is from Annes Cards4u and they are the sponsor for this weeks challenge at Pinspirational Challenges.  Be sure to stop by and join the challenge and a chance to win some fabulous images and for more inspiration from the design team.  I used the Darice Snowflake embossing folder for the base card and layered with paper from Recollection Seasonal Paper pack. I cut the image with Spellbinder's scallop nesting dies and added pop dots to lift it. Of course I used my Spectrum Noir markers. LOL I also used Stickles Diamonds to add some sparkle on the bow and center of the poinsettia. On the jingle bells I used a gold glitter gel pen. I used the following Spectrum Noir markers: CR11,DR5,CR6,EB1,TN1,7,DG2,3,GB8,11. For the sentiment I used a program called Scrapbook Max 2 It is a user friendly scrapbook program that let's you use clipart that you either buy online or find for free.  They have scrapbook kits that you can purchase and also a blog you can join and share clipart others have made.  I'm happy with the way this card turned out. It has a real Holiday feeling to it. I can't seem to get the sparkle to show up in the picture as well as it looks in person. I need to work on that some more.   Stay tuned if you want to see what the inside will look like. At this time I haven't made up my mind which sentiment I will use. I also have a few more  cards coming your way soon. Thanks for stopping by today and thanks for your comments.

{Bear}ing Gifts

Hello my crafty friends,
Here is a polar {Bear}ing gifts. LOL. Hop on over to {Pin}spirational Challenges to see this and other fabulous images the design team has created. Our sponsors this month are Delicious Doodles and Spyders Other Corner. Join the challenge for a chance to win some fabulous images.   I used Diamond Stickles for his hat and scarf. It looks much better in person. I used the Darice snowflake embossing folder for the base of the card and the mat is from the dark mats paper pack by Colorbox.   I had been looking for the Martha Stewart pine punch for over a year and at a good price. I finally got lucky and found it at JoAnn's Fabric's a couple of months ago and was able to use a 40% off coupon. I just looked it up online to show you a picture and it's on sale again at JoAnn's Fabric  I used olive color paper to punch out the leaf and used red sticker dots to add as berries.  Since the bear is on a white background I used Spectrum Noir marker 1G1 to add depth around him to make him pop. Other Spectrum Noir markers used are DR6, TN1, LG2,PP1,TB5. For added embellishments the ornaments, bow and sentiment I used Scrapbook Max 2 digital scrapbook program. It is a user friendly scrapbook program and you can use digital clip art that you can find for free or purchase online.  They have kits that you can purchase and a forum where members can share their work. They also offer a FREE TRIAL. I'm not associated with them in selling or promoting their program. I love how it helps me be more creative without having to store all the extra embellishments. LOL. Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your kind comments. I love reading them. Have a great day.

THANKFUL

Hello my crafty friends,
Today's challenge at Craftitude Challenges is to use leaves. The image is from Milk Coffee and is called I love you mom.  My mom passed away only 7 weeks ago.  For Thanksgiving she and I liked the  turkey wings and the crispy skin over the breast. If she had Thanksgiving at her house she got the extra skin and if it was at my house I would get it. That is, if she didn't get to it before me while I was doing something else. LOL.  Mom's can be the strength of a family unit and the Darice Wood Design Embossing folder inspired me to use it as the base of the card.  Have I told you lately that I love my Silhouette Cameo. LOL. I love the way it cut the leaves.  I used a digital sentiment and frame and left a white edge to give it depth.  I also added some pop dots to a few of the leaves.  The bow was in my stash and I attached it with a glue dot.  Of course I used my Spectrum Noir Markers. I used IG1,2,4 for grandma's hair Skin color TN2,FS1,2 little girl the same. Her hair GB2,8, their outfit colors, LG2,IB2,CR3,PL1.GB5. For more inspiration from our design team stop over at Craftitude Challenges and enter for a chance to win fabulous images from our sponsors. Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your comments. I love reading them.
